-$5 lets us reach out to 2 bereaved families. After a person dies from suicide, we send out a Grief Support Booklet and an offer of our support to the family members and friends.
-$10 covers the cost of teaching 2 teenagers about depression and suicide. We go into junior and senior high schools and teach the RAPP suicide prevention curriculum, which covers depression, suicidal warning signs, how to respond, and where to get help. Each student receives a RAPP curriculum book, Youth Yellow Pages Resource Guide and a Yellow Ribbon Card with the 1-800-SUICIDE crisis number.
-$50 covers the cost of one presentation to adults on depression and suicide. Staff and trained volunteers offer free, in-depth, presentations to community groups. Participants receive copies of our Depression and Suicide: Hope for Today curriculum booklet.
-$100 covers the cost of one Timberline Depression/Bipolar Support Group. Four times a month, we offer a drop-in support group for those who are currently suffering from depression and bi-polar mood disorders. The groups feature educational topics/speakers and open discussion, and rotate between Fort Collins and Loveland.
-$500 buys 1,500 Youth Yellow Pages. These pocket sized resource guides for youth and families are distributed free to schools and community organizations. We distribute over 15,000 of these each year.
-$1000 pays for one Heart to Heart Suicide Grief Support Group. We offer this educational support group twice a year to people who have lost loved ones to suicide. The group helps people move forward on their painful journey to cope with the loss of their loved one.
